Nice, Caleb has easily been a top 3 player for us this year.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Fantastic effort - given he's from SA and also in AA form I was starting to fret a bit.

Our drafting might still have some question marks over it but our list management under Power has been A1.

Mark Stevens says that Tim English management team will draw out his contract negotiations compared to Aaron Naughton (who has the same managers). Dogs obviously want to extend him this season.

Makes sense from Tim's perspective. If he can get both WA clubs chasing him hard next year, it will run the contract value up.

The contract is in front of him but not signed yet. Dunkley also has a contract in front of him.

    Two more for loyal Libba

Gun midfielder Tom Liberatore has re-signed with the Western Bulldogs.

The 27-year-old will remain a Bulldog until at least the end of 2021, after putting pen to paper on a two-year contract extension.

Having overcome the ACL injury which ruled him out of 2018, Liberatore has returned to be a pivotal member of the Bulldogs’ line-up this season.

The 2016 premiership player and 2014 Charles Sutton Medallist says the Kennel is home for him, and that he is determined to help the Bulldogs return to finals football.

“Being loyal to my teammates is a big thing for me,” Liberatore said.

“I’ve been part of this group for nine years now, and I’m happy where I am.

“It’s been good to come back from injury and play every game so far this year, and nice to sign on for two more years to have that comfort around the future.

“I’m really looking forward to the back half of the year, and how we can grow this year and over the next couple of years.

“This group has the promise and the talent to get back to the top, and we’ve shown that ability in certain games this year. I think that we will keep getting better.”

Liberatore has played 128 matches for the Bulldogs since being recruited as a father-son selection with pick 40 in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft.

Renowned as an elite pressure player, Liberatore has been influential in 2019, averaging 23.1 disposals and 24.8 pressure acts per match.

He is the Bulldogs’ joint-leading clearance winner (59) and ranks second for tackles (50).

General Manager of List and Recruiting, Sam Power, said Liberatore has an important role to play in the Club’s future.

“We’re obviously rapt to have Tom sign on for two more years,” Power said.

“He is an important player for our football club with the way he plays, as he has shown throughout the first half of this year in his return from a second ACL reconstruction.

“Tom is the type of player who makes his teammates walk taller.

“His selfless approach to the game makes those around him better players, and we know he is driven to help this group taste success in the years to come.”

I'm glad he listens to me. No to be picky though Sam, can get you signatures on the Dunkley & Daniel offers too?

Now to see if Oliver Liberatore can get a contract and join Tom next year. Good reward for hard work Tom.

I love the way Tom goes about it. It's all in the best tradition of Liberatore's and I'm really happy to see him get two more years.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
