How To Get To Victoria University Whitten Oval

Train: Whitten Oval is a short stroll from West Footscray station - on the Sydneham/Watergardens line.

Tram: By tram from the city, catch the #57 West Maribyrnong service. The #57 links at Maribyrnong Road with the #82, which passes within a block of the ground.

Bus: Routes: 409; Yarraville – Footscray, 410; Sunshine – Footscray, 411; Laverton Railway Station - Altona Meadows – Altona – Footscray (via Millers Road), 412; Altona Meadows – Altona – Footscray (via Mills Street), 414; Laverton South – Laverton - Footscray.

I am a AFLW founding member. Was never invited. Didn't even know of the event. I'll have to contact the membership department to see what's going on. Or what's not going on.

I called the membership dept. They said that the invitees were Ambassador Members rather than foundation members.

I just checked the email and it does say Ambassador Member, then I checked my membership and it is a foundation membership which is what I thought I was.

I will need to check with membership.

PS: One of the reasons I didn't go was I wasn't sure if I had sent through the RSVP. I rang the events department in the morning of the function and it went to Voicemail, and requesting I leave a message for them to call me. I am still waiting for the call. Pretty piss poor that no one called me back.

I called membership to check and they said Ambassador and Foundation are treated the same. Because I had joined last year and continuing the membership, I was invited.

OK that is the difference. I think there were X amount of Foundation memberships made available last year.

Season Launch and Hall of Fame

Time: 6.30pm
Date: Tuesday 13th March 2018
Venue: Plenary, Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre
Dress: Neat Casual (no denim)

Event Sold Out.

This year the club has decided to change it up for the season launch. I will be there as usual. Anyone else going?
