Johannisen has missed the past two weeks with a hamstring complaint but looks set to return against Port Adelaide in Ballarat on Saturday.“Jason Johannisen didn’t quite pass our final fitness test going into the main training session last week,

    " Bell told westernbulldogs.com.au
“He completed a good footy session on the weekend and got through that really well so we’ll look at him this week. If he completes our main training session as we’ve got planned he’ll be available this weekend.

Defender Dale Morris continues to mark rapid progress recovering from the broken arm he suffered against the Suns in Round 18, with Bell optimistic he’ll be available for selection this weekend.

“He’s back into full training this week which is fantastic,” he said.“We’ve just got to tick some final boxes with Dale but we’re all optimistic he’s going to be available to play this weekend.

    "
The Bulldogs defensive stocks could also be boosted by Marcus Adams in coming weeks as the West Australian recovers from a foot injury.“In some great news Marcus Adams is back into some football training,” Bell said.“We’re working through a process now to rebuild his match fitness.

At this stage we’re hoping he’s going to present to be available in the next two to three weeks.

In further good news from the Club ruckman Tom Campbell is expected to return this weekend after recovering from an abdominal tear. “At this stage if he full trains this week as we planned and he pulls up really well he’ll be available this weekend.”
Well we all knew Dale was superman this just confirms it 100%

If Wood and Adams were ready to rock'n'roll I'd have much more hope for the rest of our season.

I know it's a must win but it concerns me a little playing JJ in the forecast conditions with a soft tissue injury.

Could this be another 2016 where we get key players back after the bye week before finals starting a dream run?

If we make it we will finish either 7 or 8, it's setting up very similarly, other than we are a game or two back.

I said that a couple of weeks ago. Stringer & Dunkley are back already but Tom Boyd, Adams, Wood & Morris are still to come. We've been far more inconsistent this year from quarter to quarter and game to game, but we're only 6 wins from Bark2Bark
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

Win the next two and we are only 2 games down on last year's H&A

JJ has little to worry about a max of 9 deg and snow. Whereas the so called Power may need extra batteries. They will have a rude awakening about Ballarat's micro climate - basically like playing in a fridge.

    Scans confirm Jake hamstrung

Scans have confirmed that Western Bulldogs forward Jake Stringer suffered a low grade hamstring strain against Port Adelaide in Ballarat on the weekend.

Speaking to westernbulldogs.com.au on Monday afternoon, head physiotherapist Chris Bell said he expects Stringer to spend some time on the sidelines.

“Unfortunately Jake suffered some hamstring tightness in the first quarter of the game on the weekend… scans today have confirmed that he does have a low grade hamstring injury and will require some time in rehab,” he said.

“At this stage I’m predicting that Jake’s going to be unavailable for the next couple of weeks.

First year ruckman Tim English was a casualty of Footscray’s loss to Essendon in the VFL on the weekend, with the 20-year-old suffering a low grade concussion.

Bell said it was too early to tell if English would be available to play this weekend but he remained optimistic.

“[He] was removed from the field of play but has come in really well today, so we will work through our process with Tim today to determine his availability.”

Footscray could also be bolstered by the return of Brad Lynch this weekend according to Bell, when they take on Williamstown this weekend at VU Whitten Oval.

‘’Brad has continued to progress really well following his hamstring injury,’’ he said.

‘’He still has some final boxes to tick for us this week but we’re all hoping he returns to availability this weekend.’’

    Jake Stringer hamstring 2 - 3 weeks
