Great article. I hope our fans understand the finer points of what Bevo is saying about Trav. I've already heard it's a bad trade unless he kicks 4 a week, and it does my head in already. If he's taking the best defender and has a zone defender near him, then guys like Stringer can get off the hook (see 20 touches, 4 goals last game) and Boyd, Crammers & Dicko. Not to mention he covers a lot of territory and is a big upgrade on the role Cordy played which in turn allows Zaine to go back into defence and hone his trade and learn from Wood, Morris, Boyd & Boyd and become a very, very player.
Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023

    Spot on BT.
It's not about how many goals he kicks each week that proves his worth to us picking him up.
His contested marking, having the 2nd or 3rd best opp. defender taken away from one of Dicko,Stringer,Boyd and Crammers at various times.
His massive tank endurance, pinch hitting in the ruck.
We're not relying on Clokey to kick min 3 goals or more to get us over the line each week like the Filth were.
He just has to play the role that Bevo wants him to do each week.
