Can't agree with that. Cotchin had other options but chose to bump - onus is on him once contact is made to the head, which occurred before the ball became his focus.

Clearly a bump, which forced Shiel out of the game with concussion. It was 2 motions - bump to head followed by focus on getting the ball (which only spilled free as a result of the bump to Shiel's head). Originally Posted by bornadog

I was thinking today why doesn't the MRP have a full bench of retired umpires?
Rather than having ex players who would all carry some bias of some sort.Don't piss off old people
