It's always been important, one of the first pieces of advice I got (and one of the best) was "you ain't much good to anyone laying on the ground", but it's just so much more important today. The pace the game is played at if you are knocked over you can be out of the next couple of contests. Bailey stays on his feet and he thinks fast. He's going to be pretty big too going by his frame.

Great result for the club. Must have been what Bob said, his retirement was needed to give Bailey a pay rise.

Actually it was to free up the #2. Bailey plays for free, nobody has told him AFL footballers get payed yet.

It's all Tom Boyd's fault with his million dollar contract taking up 100% of the salary cap. We've had to back load a lot of contracts.

Excellent news. He's come along really well and has a lot of improvement left.

With Boyd's contract, aren't we at the stage now where it tapers off anyway, having been front loaded?

Great news. Most improved player this year, probably alongside Toby McLean

    Re: Operation: Re-Sign Bailey Dale

Been a big fan since the TAC games he played in his draft year and has developed well this year.

Now a best 22 player and one who has scope to improve another level too. Well done Bailey.
