    Re: UEFA Champions League 2017/18

I was at Wembley last night and it was a real sucker punch. After 60 minutes no one, not even the Juve fans would have said their team would walk away 2-1 winners and then in 3 minutes they turned the game on its head. Fair play to them, but Spurs have every right to be disappointed and look at this as an opportunity spurned. 22 shots to 6. just of 1 in 4 was on target - Spurs sould have had the game wrapped up at half time, but combinations of wasteful finishing; sublime goal keeping and the woodwork meant that they were easy prey!

Meanwhile we beat AC Milan 2-0 in the Europa. Just good to get a win.

Normally I'd disagree and rant and rave about how crap Europe is and how we would be better off concentrating on domestic titles but Europa League is the only thing left that we can win. So go us!

Untied dumped out with an embarrassing effort.

Our turn tomorrow. Wonder if Conte will bother playing a striker.

Well what a shambles .Losing to a lowly La Liga team . They were lucky in the first leg , and to be honest we can now concentrate on the league !

Dont think Mou and United are a very good fit. Two very different football philosophies.

No, not really. Mou rarely hangs around long but usually this far into a stay at a club he's already won half a dozen trophys.

The 2nd season is when hes at his best, the 3rd he implodes.

United is all about playing the youf/academy, playing with flair and attack, attack, attack. Mou is the opposite to all that.

Yep, it was never going to end well. Not that it ever really does with Mou.

“I sit in this chair twice in the Champions League and I knock out Man United at home, at Old Trafford, “Mourinho said.

“I sit in this chair with Porto, Man United out, I sit in this chair with Real Madrid, Man United out, so I don’t think it’s something new for the club.”

Wow. 286 mil and everything needs to change? Still second just flopped in Europe. It was their turn for the short backup so maybe the scheduling didn’t help? They have the same backup for the next game which is F.A Cup, will make for an interesting press conference if they lose that as well.

Mourihno at his press conference. One of his best yet, not sure where he goes after that. A lot of pressure on their FA Cup game this week.

Pretty quiet on the Europe front? Only the cream left in England I’m guessing then?
