Shouldn't we also be talking to May?

Yep, Adams & 2019 first rounder for May. Do the deal and move on.

BT, how does Buku Khamis drafting work? Do we have to use points to match if another team picks him?

I think it would be just like academy and f/s pick. We have to match and have a discount most likely?

Going to be a challenge to get West and Khamis, as well as make a play for Wingard.
Really hope we don't give up our first pick, but I can't see us holding on to it and getting the guys above.

Just match the bid like a FS, if we want to, getting a 20% discount on points. If Roughy gets us a 3rd rounder, Dahl 2nd, I anticipate West & Khamis probably suck up the remainder of our picks with points. Then 7 on a gun kid or preferably Wingard. Leaves us with three late picks likely (5 but two rookie upgrades).

Crows are after Stengle so that might be a losing battle for us given he’s from SA

Yeah think we're well and truly out of the race if the Crows have thrown their hat into the ring.

Yeah not like the Crows have done anything in the last 12 months to actively deter Indigenous players (or all players for that matter) from going to their club

Does anyone have an idea of what is the realistic compensation we will get for Dahlhaus is likely to be?

If numbers guide the metrics for determining compensation then has to be end of 1st round, based on similarity to Motlop's deal. But I think end 2nd round is what we'll get.

It's clear from media commentary of Ameet Bains and others, we expect end of first round compo. If there's three priorities and Lynch and Gaff compo, it's pick 24. If it's at second round it's pick 30. A difference of about 160 draft points.

The priority picks and potentially two first round fa compos are going to hurt. Hopefully when they AFEL pulls pick the compo out their arse they factor in maybe end of first round compo is the fairest situation in rewarding clubs with priority picks for incompetency.

Thanks, So that would be pick 37 as it is now moving down to somewhere in the 40's?

    I factored it in already.

End 1st - Pick 24 (if three PPs awarded & 2 FA compos paid out)
    At 2nd - Pick 30 (A/A)

We could do better if the afel don’t dish out 3 PPs & if WCE/GCS trade their players.

End of 2nd would be 40+
