Good on him. Always tried his hardest for us and was a lovely straight kick.

Could of been a contender if he had two good knees. Thanks for the fight Jack.

It won't happen unless he's in it for the money and they offer a shit load more than we do. Then they also have to satisfy Port with a trade. If he wants to play for us then we are in the box seat.

In which case we can pocket the SA hotshot with our first pick they are so keen on getting and then snap up Wingard when he becomes a free agent next year for nix. Up to them!

Yes indeed. It sounds better when you look at it from that angle.
You're right, the key is getting him to ask for a trade to us for sure.

This is why our last month of the season was so important. The wheel started to turn again at the WO and it can be the difference come trade time when selling your list to potential players. Exciting times.

Yeah it is not the thing nowadays to bottom out. Even when you are going well you need to find ways to make improvements refinements to the list each year. No longer priority picks anymore.

Personally I think we did bottom out but as in a recent article by a good studying journalist we “ over performed “ this year with our age demographic we should have won the spoon.

Six years ? That's buddy like. Not sure about the length but I get you have to pay overs. I'm a big Wingard fan.

Yes please on Wingard. Exciting forward who can also play midfield. Also the type of player who will put bums on seats. Hope we go hard.

Just on Wingard, at 850k a season as Ricky Nixon is reporting would we be playing him on his ability or on his results?

To me his last 2 seasons don't warrant that type of investment
