The Moment: Rnd 19, 2023 vs Essendon

The moment, the best, most courageous moment that caught your eye in tonight's game against Essendon. Was it the moment that told you 'we've got this' or 'we lost this one right here'? Or was it the moment that you went 'wow....that is crazy courage'

Or was it a collection of moments that you thought 'oh dear that's sure to produce a flood of WOOF melts on par with GG's post GF loss..

Heppell in possession, Libba's smother and our subsequent goal, put them away.

The zig-zag of handballs that resulted in a goal to Baker really stood out to me.

Peter Wright hit the post. If that went through it was under 10 points. Cody kicked a goal three minutes later to take it back out to three goals.

However, my moment was the set shot from Marra. It was a stalemate for a while after the Cody goal. We were three goals up. Marra goes back and nails that long shot and the lead was over four goals and we did not look like losing after that.

Bonts 2nd goal was the best moment of the game. It was pure WOW how great was that. So blessed to have a player like that to watch every week.

Super finish from Baker. Nailed that kick. He knew it wash home the moment it left his boot.

Something in the second quarter had me thinking we'll win.

Fantastic finish. Exactly what you want from a winger who stays wide and needs to take his chances.

It was impressive the way so many players linked up and the finish was very good as well.

Bontempelli's intercept mark just on three quarter time running back with the flight of the ball.

He'd just missed a goal but stayed in the moment, took responsibility and cut off an Essendon forward thrust.

We all know how good we are at giving up junk time goals.

He is such an all round player.

Coaching changes at quarter time specifically aimed at stopping Essendon's intercept defenders by making them accountable.

When Stringer got his five touches a game in the first few minutes I knew he was done and Libba would just run around doing what he liked as he knew Jake was done.
That’s when I knew the game was won :-)
