I thought Richmond only did that kind of thing in the change rooms after the game.

Re: MRO Thread
When I saw that live I felt he was trying to impede him by tripping or knocking him off balance and accidently got him in the nether regions so for me that's a fine.

Re: MRO Thread
I didn't notice either of these during the game. I've seen the replay of the Rich incident but not Eagles. Kicking Bont - should be a lifetime ban!
Daniel Rich, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with Engaging in Rough Conduct (Dangerous Tackle) against Ed Richards, Western Bulldogs, during the first quarter of the Round 11 match between the Brisbane Lions and the Western Bulldogs, played at the Gabba on Saturday August 8.
In summary he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact. The incident was classified as a one-match sanction.
Matt Eagles, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with Kicking Marcus Bontempelli, Western Bulldogs, during the third quarter of the Round 11 match between the Brisbane Lions and the Western Bulldogs, played at the Gabba on Saturday August 8.
In summary he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct with Low Impact and Groin Contact. The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction as a first offence. The player can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Re: MRO Thread
Yesterday, I saw Shuey pretend to stumble but actually tripped up the Carlton player - has this been assessed? It looked deliberate to me.
I seem to recall he has done that before.

Kicking the Bont in the jatz might be the high water mark of Eagles' career.
He should get the offending boot bronzed and mounted.

Re: MRO Thread
Tom Lynch is a real cowardly prick.
Hate seeing players behave like that and never really get a square up. The balance has ripped to far in favour of this chippy, cowardly stuff. when you have players get rubbed out for poor outcomes resulting from acts that are legal, a la Crozier, then this stuff should be punished hard.

Re: MRO Thread
The Lynch punch was pathetic, but seeing Collins pacing around the rooms and sitting with his eyes closed was objectively hilarious. Poor guy.

Re: MRO Thread
Just wondering what sort of look for young aspiring footballers and their parents is if you let a punch in the guts get unpunished ?

Commentary around it is totally pathetic as well

Its a shit feeling when you don't get to square things up. For his own mental health, he should have absolutely unleashed on him. Sometimes people need to have their decisional balance reset, and a punch in the face is a good way to do it.

I would love to see someone try that defence at the tribunal - Sir you see I had to punch him in the face for the sake of my own mental health.
