Look at Cordy being whacked in that photo and not even mentioned by MRO.

AFL really don't know what they are doing. The most incompetent organisation ever.

I was watching it live and it was a pretty fierce whack.

Can't believe it wasn't cited. Came up from behind too very brave.

Surprised Zaine hasn't been given weeks for striking the swinging arm the GWS player.

Surely GWS would have a medical report that Cordy did some damage to the swinging arm with his head, in much the same manner as the evidence they had against Jack Redpath.

    I think it was Lloyd.

Edit : Nope best I can tell from who was in the area it was Perryman.

Cordy had the wherewithal to brace right at the last moment which probably stopped it being much worse.

Will any suspension for Zaine carry over to his start to the season in the VAFA / WRFL / EDFL next year (asking for a friend)?

What charge is Cordy actually defending tonight?

MRO: Zaine Cordy has been referred directly to the Tribunal following an incident with Tanner Bruhn. The incident is ungraded and Cordy is unable to accept an early plea.Bailey Dale can accept a $2000 fine with an early plea for striking (first offence)

Zaine’s gonna go because I’m pretty sure there’s no Cordy Rule Book kept on the shelf next to the Cripps one.

It’s a shame because he’s actually been pretty solid since he got back in, and with no contract for next year as it stands he might be out of opportunities to mount his case for a new one.

Hiow can one by called to court without charge ? How does one's legal team prepare to face "no charge" ?

The only real defense they can prepare at the moment is to argue the validity of the hearing. This might be fine, but in a situation whereby the AFL bends the rules to suit their agenda, I don't like Zaine's chances of acquittal.

It wuld be a momentous decision to suspend a player who hasn't been charged with anything.

I thought it was a good shepherd, the ball was close by so it wasn’t behind play.

Only question is relating to where the contact was made but it looked pretty shoulder on shoulder to me, and he didn’t leave the ground it was more a forceful block.

No idea why it went straight to the tribunal.

All the club can do is defend the fact that it was a legitimate bump, ie shoulder to shoulder.

    This is just another farce
