Do fines actually work?
Was it Cunnington who finished Trav Cloke's career when he cannoned into him from behind last year? I reckon that's one of the worst unpunished acts I've seen on a football ground. I don't know if you guys have had broken ribs before but it *!*!*!*!ing hurts and Trav had 2 or 3 of his broken.

I've never seen that photo before. It's a ripper.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Re: MRP Thread 2018
So Waite has to go for a week. Lined up Trengove, left the ground and looks like he had a raised arm.

Re: MRP Thread 2018
It'll be one week if considered medium impact but only a fine if considered low impact. Assuming it's considered careless conduct.

He will get a fine. Don't expect anything different.

Re: MRP Thread 2018
Dale Morris - $2000 fine for tripping (I thought it was an accident)
Jarrad Waite - $3000 fine
Trent Dumont was offered a $2000 fine for rough conduct against Ed Richards
Tex Walker out for two with sling tackle. That was vicious and deserved more.

Wow Waite fined only 1k more than Moz.....i have no words....
If Trengove was knocked out, Waite probably would have gotten 2-3. What a joke

Re: MRP Thread 2018
I don't have an issue with the Waite or Morris decisions.
Trengove was ok so always going to be assessed as low impact.
In real time I thought the Morris trip was accidental but on the replay he clearly stuck his leg out (instinctively rather than maliciously in my view).
Can't recall the Dumont and Richards incident?

Does anyone else think BS instructed his players to rough us up? Because there were numerous late cheap shots against our players yesterday

Re: MRP Thread 2018
There were a few late shots that went unpunished by the umpires. I don't understand why it's ok to take a player out after they handball but if it's after a kick it's downfield?

I think that style is very typical of North - has been for years.
Just down from me on the outer wing, I think it was in the first quarter, the epitome of faux tough men, Scott Thompson drove his flexed forearm into the head of one of our mids, it may have been Macca, whilst his head was on the ground after a ground ball contest. It was an appalling and callous action from Thompson, designed to do nothing more than intimidate and inflict pain on a completely defenseless ball player. He's a thug like those that have gone before him in the back half at North e.g Mick Martin, Firrito

That's just Norf. "Shinboner spirit" they call it. Fake tough guys have been at their club for years, just looks what happens when we give it back to them, Marley Williams is probably still recovering.
