Fair enough, I don't disagree that we are generally too placid. I think Long's bump deserved a week but I don't think it was premeditated or a thug act, but a poor split second decision.

What about the Libba attempt? Or the incident where he caved in Darcy's head?
Poor bloke has some serious decision making issues
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

I was only referring to the Macrae bump, not Long in general. The Darcy one was poor, don't remember the Libba one.

Had he connected with someone other than a teammate that act was potentially more grievous than the one he was cited for.

Yeah not a good look for the way football is played these days.

And Cotchin had done it again, insanely dangerous tackle on Jones.

Re: MRO Thread
Richmond are actually worse off with Cotchin in the team so I prefer that he plays

I actually think he is a much more valuable player now with smaller numbers than he was early in his captaincy tenure. He crashes in with uncompromising intent and never lets the opposition mids get a clean clearance from contested groundball situations

Maybe, but he’s lost all sense of the speed of the game and is a total liability by foot when he actually does get it. He’s reminding me a lot of post-drug ban Watson.
Plus there was his whole “lets not play this season because I’ll be too sad” schtick.

Re: MRO Thread
This is getting *!*!*!*!ing ridiculous. Another misconduct fine for Lynch and Cotchin doesn't even get cited.

Onya AFEL, keep enabling the smug prick.
Be terrible if his routine invites a bit of street justice at some stage.

Would be horrible if Tom Jonas happened to punch both of them in the throat.
