Re: AFLW 2018 - Round 4 v Carlton
Ellie Blackburn is my favourite player at the club.
Giving the Carlton loser a high five after that goal? Bellissimo.

That so called “Carlton Loser” is a lifelong Bulldogs fan with a long family Bulldog history.
Lauren would’ve loved for nothing more than to have been drafted by the Bulldogs but it wasn’t to be unfortunately.
Ironically she’s even a Woof member.

That kick across goal with the intercept mark from Ellie was strongly reminiscent of a certain 'gubby' allen kick which resulted in Beazer goaling all those years ago.

Amazing night at the kennel. Pressure from the get go. The short passing under very blustery conditions was exemplary. Bring on the pies

It was a shame for all of the family.
She’s played for the Bulldogs in all of the pre AFLW exhibition games against Melbourne but unfortunately the way the draft fell Lauren ended up at Carlton of all places and has subsequently been their Captain.
Of course she celebrated our 2016 flag like the rest of us diehards.
Hopefully one day she might end up finding her way back to the Dogs in a coaching capacity.

I have seen a text message welcoming Aliesha Newman to the Western Bulldogs at the start of last year. She's a huge bulldogs girl. She even grew up in Braybrook
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Re: AFLW 2018 - Round 4 v Carlton
I was at last night's game and standing next to Ellie Blackburn's family. At half time her father came over and introduced himself and spoke at length about the club (supportive etc) and some of the interaction between the womens and mens teams e.g. Bonti has worked out with Ellie.
Said Roughead was a natural in his coaching role with the AFLW team and should naturally progress thru the coaching ranks. He had a high opinion of Chris Grant and his role with the AFLW team set up.
I said to him he must be proud to be the father of the captain of such a dominant team on the night as the Dogs team were. He said he was more pleased how his daughter had developed/grown as a member of our football club.
I think this would be the wish of any parent for their child (i.e. personal growth).
Anyone can support a team that is winning, it takes no courage. But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you, that takes a lot of courage, so lets always be behind our boys and girls in red, white and blue.

Win 2 of our remaining 3 and we're in the GF
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

A game clear with a good % and 3 games to go.
