That Pick 23 would have been handy.
Shit trade at the time, even worse now.

Why did we throw in this year's pick 23? Looks like a fair enough trade without that - thank Christ we got Ed Richards with the upgraded pick 16

If you think we didn’t plan or expect to go down the ladder, then maybe we thought it’d be pick 30-32. Which used on Rhylee, and with some points from Freo, we would find some later points to cover the shortfall. So maybe it was a sweetener to get the deal done to get Schache & 16 with Richards in mind. But finishing 14th with a future 2nd committed is going to sting a little bit at pick 23.

Re: The Current Positions of 2017 Future Draft Pick Swaps
Last year we reset the team, we brought in a former pick 2 key position forward with 27 senior games of footy behind him in Schache and then with pick 9 with the highly talented key defender in Naughton and of course balanced that at pick 15 when we grabbed the the composed and skillful mid sized defender in Richards. We had to spend more than we ideally liked but got 3 prodigiously talented players that will be even better in 2019.
I'm confident we will catch-up a bit this year at the end of the season and strengthen our position at the draft.

Things are virtually certain now:
Out: Pick 23 to Carlton
In: Pick 60/61 from Fremantle
So picks 5, 41, 59 & 60/61 (in the first four rounds)

Seriously need to get some picks in that 20-30 bracket.
I will never see #16 the same!!

Second Round FA compo would be from pick 24. One or two of those would be nice.
