He was one of our coaches just a couple of years ago IIRC.

He presented JJ his Norm Smith medal on GF Day
Anyone can support a team that is winning, it takes no courage. But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you, that takes a lot of courage, so lets always be behind our boys and girls in red, white and blue.

With the immortal line "The winner of the Norm Smith Medallist". May well have been pissed on the day.

He disappeared very quietly.I remember at the time the Club didn't comment on his departure which I found unusual.

At least the system did the right thing by jailing him.

I don't like his chances on appeal. The courts are starting to take a very dim view on Family Violence, particularly with injury assaults.

When I say starting to, it is a trend that has been building for around 3 or 4 years on my observations.

Essentially, from what I have observed anecdotally, any Family Violence assault where there are injuries, imprisonment is always on the table unless there's a compelling reason why it shouldn't be. This is particularly true where it is in breach of an intervention order.
