Re: 2018 AFL -Trade Rumours and Discussion
If I were Melbourne I'd be more than willing to listen for trade options that have Hogan off to Fremantle
Freo have pick 5 and are likely to get pick 4 for Neale.
Melbourne should ask for both of those picks offering a 2nd rounder (pick 32) to head back to Fremantle
That gives the Dees 3 first round selections on draft night
Hogan is close to being a star player but he clearly wants to head home and Fremantle could be at their most cashed up position to make that happen. It's time to strike

Agreed. Good deal for Melbourne and they have some good tall timber up front already.

What would it take to get Shiel? I would think he is at least two first rounders?

Definitely not 2 first rounders. If he is 2 then would hate to think what Kelly is worth.

Two pick 7's at it. If he worse, he's not that much worse. Especially if various Desperados get him at $1.2-$1.3M a season. It's only a Dedoro that can front the media and claim a player worth $1.3M a season isn't worth two first rounders. The only way it's a single first rounder is maybe to St Kilda at pick 5 and a 2019 second rounder which is still probably around 25. But it's got to be a top 5 selection to reduce the second pick in my book. The clubs chasing him are hamstrung if the money offers are true.
