Pick 32 and a future third round is a pretty good deal for someone who can’t get on the park.

Shiel deal back on J-Mac might have got his way.

But what if he does now? I think the value is about right but we didn't get anything for the fact that he had a long contract in place.

What a shocking surprise. Shiel traded to Essendon.

How long before we start hearing about the four S's?

2 first rounders is massive overs for Shiel, who is basically 4th best mid at GWS. They could have gotten Libba for nothing and better addressed their inside midfield needs.

Essendon do get a 2nd round pick back, so unless they badly miss the finals, I think it's reasonable. Hope they badly miss the finals though.

Probably a horrible thing to say, but: they are a Bellchambers injury away from missing the finals.

Fantastic, he learns to stand up to Dodo after how many trade periods he spent pissing our players away for magic beans?

If they hadn't payed massive overs for Shiel I'd be really annoyed.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I'd say you're so annoyed you forgot how to spell paid.

I said at the start of trade week that that's where I valued Adams, so I'm happy with that.

We get an okay pick in a strong draft and clear out a guy who didn't want to be at the club.

He actually played it well by giving away Whitfield for nothing. It meant they had the cap space for Shiel in 2019 so held all the aces.

Scully? But yes, once the cap wasn't a problem for him he got one back on Dodoro.

Gee the list managers know not to let it get personal. They're all full of praises and thanks for their counterparts working with them during the tough negotiations.
