He might be ready to leave, but I'm not ready to say goodbye

Thank you Shane. The team will be a fair bit less cool without you.

Biggs you'll always be our premiership hero. We saw what you did. We'll forget Ron singing with the Sex Pistols before forgetting you.

Thank you Shane. A great contributor for our club and at when it mattered the most grand final day 2016. Always will be a Bulldog premiership player.

Regarding the farewell game, he may well have been asked and refused. It does actually happen.
A mate of mine refused a farewell game at North, but in the end Dean Laidley overruled and picked him - but I understand it is quite common that lower key retiring players don't want one.

Farewell Biggsy - one of the great instagram accounts in the history of the bulldogs can now hit another level

And I loved the section in Bobs book on Biggsy - explaining how he was basically bilingual etc

Pulled out an unbelievable month of footy during 2016 finals, culminating in his big moment.

    Thanks, Biggsy. Bulldog legend forever.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Al's Highlights had put back up the Octocall of the magical moment.

    Never forget.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Seriously though he had a great season in 2016 but his heart just didn't seem in it this year. Guess there are people like Dale Morris who would do anything to play footy and those like Shane that can take it or leave it. Personally I think he's insane but everyone is different, good luck to him.
Not too sure about that. There is life after footy and fans are not going to come care for you when your knees are shot or you can't remember your own address. Each guy has to decide when to pull the pin. Dale Morris probably should have been an olympic athlete.
Dodoro, thanks very much for throwing Shanes DVD in the pile and letting him through to, eventually, us. A cult classic and absolutely loved that bit of youtube vision. Thanks for posting.
