Re: Round 1, 2019 Team
Good side selected. Without Trengove Dunks and Bont will have to help out in the ruck.
Wood likely to man up on Franklin

No I meant Dickson. No match practise and injury prone and the obvious change from JLT granted different roles. The Swans have Reid, Aliir, Sinclair so reasonably tall. I'm ok with giving English first crack though Jackson as a mature chop out seemed a good idea. We shall see ! Looking forward to the game think we can start with a win.

Wood on Franklin. Bont rucking ... *rubs hands together*
Having zero JLT time under his belt, I wonder if Dickson ends up a late out ...
Most exciting prospect in this one is how English goes. I like his chances against Sinclair and ... Allir?

Dickson played in the VFL practice matches and kicked goals so he has had match practice.

Re: Round 1, 2019 Team
The size of that backline worries me. I would've liked Roberts or Young in

Still might with Young as an emergency. Not real pleased with it but it's what I've grown used to teams like this over the last couple of seasons. I think we'll stick with them for about a half and they'll pull away and win by about 30 - 40 points.

Re: Round 1, 2019 Team
Would have liked Young in the side, or Fletcher Roberts .
Good array of mid size forwards . One big key forward would be lovely

Re: Round 1, 2019 Team
I think coach is backing our midfield to get on top. Doesn't matter how big your forward line is. If opposition can't get it there. Then it makes no difference.

Re: Round 1, 2019 Team
Surprised Trengove misses, especially against Sydney’s tall forwards and followers.
And whilst not surprised the MC have selected Duryea, I’m not a fan of the selection.

Re: Round 1, 2019 Team
The defence does look very weak without Morris and Trengrove to assist Cordy. On JLT form both Duryea and Suckling didn’t deserve to be picked. Huge expectations on English with the decision to leave out Trengrove. At some stage you would expect Naughton to spend time in defence even though I like his selection as a forward. The big question still remains and that is can our forward line kick enough goals to win the game.

Re: Round 1, 2019 Team
If that 22 plays, would be surprised if Naughton plays forward at all.
While I wouldn’t have gone with English, I’m glad they went with just one of he or Trengove.
Think we’ll struggle

Re: Round 1, 2019 Team
Trengove out is surprising.
English as solo ruck will be interesting to see.
Quietly hopeful that we can pull some goals out of the bag and start the season off with a win.
