He would have been remembered as a better player if he had stayed at the Bulldogs and tried to improve them rather than taking the simple way out and gone to another club to gain success. I think the footy world doesn't rate players like Griffen exactly because he bailed on the club that gave him a go, backed him to the hilt and gave him every chance to succeed only to for him walk out and try and take the easy way to success. There may be a very few people who think that's an apporopriate way to repay faith that's been shown in you but thankfully the vast majority of us sees that sort of behaviour as selfish and arent preperad to reward it. We still value one club players.

One of the many things I hate about GWS is that since the start they’ve played the game with a total unearned arrogance. They’re a massively talented list with no capacity to beat a disciplined opponent with a strong game plan.
