No idea actually , Bevo never picked him all year from memory , although I didn’t notice him in the best a lot at VFL level.
Personally I’m a little disappointed he didn’t get in because he seems to read the ball well and Is very athletic, considering how bad we were in some games I would have thought he would have got a game at times.

One VFL watcher commented to me that they seemed to be really educating Lewis to defend with an emphasis on spoiling the ball. He also was used as a swingman, playing forward at significant times.
Maybe it was decided that Lewis needed to just learn some facets of the game before greater exposure in an undermanned backline.

Re: Preseason Training - 2019
He actually played 2 games this year, against Gold Coast and Lions. He was out muscled and looked out of confidence, cost us few goals from memory. I believe Bevo thought to just leave him in the VFL to get his confidence back.
The other fact is that Naughton and Cordy are in front of him. As was Adams when he was fit too.
Fingers crossed he gets his mojo back, as he showed some great qualities in 2017.

Bit to process here ... Webb still sporting his neck bling, Dahlhaus looks as motovated as ever and as far as JJ's concerned the 1-4 year guys can GAGF.

Bizarre we gave him the no. 2 then! He showed good signs but in small doses and hasn’t impacted since. The club must see something we don’t

I'd be surprised if people can't see the potential in him. I'm very confident he will be an improver in 2019

Exciting to have a player on the list, who doesn't turn 20 for another month, with his potential and height.

Most marks of a kpp on debut since Chris Grant. The kid needed some experience and frame building. He’s got that now, arguably his main competitor for interceptor KPP was Adams who got his wish to be anywhere other than here. So stars maybe aligning for Young.

Cordy is taller than Bont, no way is he only 193
If you kicked five goals and Tom Boyd kicked five goals, Tom Boyd kicked more goals than you.

He's 19 years old FFS and a late pick. Still a lot of development left.

A massive amount. I'm very confident that he will continue an upward trend.
