I'd love to see Lynch develop into that speedy forward too. Smads description of his goal just now gives us more speed and something different. Would be nice to have a change of pace off the HBF, wing, mid and forward. But devils advocate says Smith hasn't played, JJ can get tagged out, Richards is only a second year and Lynch has only played forward in one afl game. But let's hope they all develop nicely.

Bailey is quietly coming along learning off Libba, Macrae and the Bont, he will have 50 games before we know it and be a regular reliable, best player every week in the coming years.
I’m impressed with his disposals , how he lowers his eyes and finds targets, kids got what it takes to be a star.

Yep. Early days, but he played against OK teams with mature opponents, was in team wins, must be feeling he's contributing. Things have started well for him. Keep it going, and he can be ignored for the rising star.

The last few years have seen our top end draftees sign extensions mid season or so. I'd be hoping to see a two year add on a bit down the track this season.

Lunch is an interesting one. Looked awesome at times, made a lot of mistakes and got caught with the ball often in his games last year. Loved how he took it in though.

It’ll be interesting to see him this year if we don’t have gaps open up with injury.

    Game 3:

Bailey Smith - Most Disposals 22, Most Kicks 8, Most Handballs 14, Most Marks 2, Most Tackles 6, Most Clearances 4, Most I50's 3, Most R50's 3, Highest SC 88, Highest AFL FP 85

Enough for a rising star nomination I wonder?

14 dispoals coming in the first half. Getting better every week.

He's getting a lot better. His game sense is a little lacking but that's to be expected at his level.

I liked what I saw today.

Smith found the required rempo today and he was strong in the contested work. A nice step forward in his AFL journey

Really liked his game today. Rozee has the rising star nomination locked in after his 5 goals and Walsh is next cab off the rank after that but if he keeps playing like this, he'll be nominated within a month.

He has learned quickly on the job and after tentative games in round 1 and 2, today he actually was someone the opposition coach would've had to put some thought into as the game progressed.
He's going to be a very good player.

The big positive from today. He's coming along really nicely and will only get better as his fitness improves. It was clear he was a touch gassed in the second half, but he kept putting himself into the action as much as he could which is a really good sign.
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.
