He’s so gone it sucks. On the plus side he is going to be my most hated player ever by so far so that will be kinda fun.

If we nominate a non-preferred club with excellent capital and he refuses does he play football next year? Honest question I don't know. Assume he doesn't?
Employees leaving and getting to nominate preferred clubs with shite capital is a terrible business arrangment for multi-million dollar organisations. When is a club going to force a decision that's in the best interest of the club and not the player?
Given what's at stake I'm astounded this doesn't happen like, everytime.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

He goes to North via the PSD if no trade happened. Incentive to work harder on the trade. Id happily force that on him if the trade offer was shit.

I don't know it happens now. Player can nominate for one of the drafts at 2 mil a year and just immediately sign a new contract once they get where they want to go can't they? Isn't that basically how Martin got to Carlton just with a lower number?

Yes. Martin put a higher price on his head. Thing is I think, North would pay whatever to get him and his marketing ability.

At some point we as a club have to make it clear to players you can’t do this to us and we meekly making it happen for a substandard trade. If he thinks he might be at North his manager might be a bit more forceful with the proposed new club.

Even if north don’t he’s not getting past the hawks no matter what price he put on himself.

You do that by making them want to stay. Hard line will backfire i think.

Makes you wonder what we could have got if we traded him last year.
I'm ****ing sick of losing good players. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
