Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Bailey Smith
From the outside looking in Bailey Smith looks like the most "Unbulldog player" we've had since Simon "The Pieman" Beasley.
More of an In Bruges guy?

Digressing, it's a good thing this was published in March and not September ...

Why?
We aren’t the “battling Bulldogs” any more.
I think he suits our fresh brand well.
Our game style has fallen away and we’re not as exciting as we used to be to watch. I hope that comes back.

If it was seriously on the table as a standalone pick 3 for Bailey Smith, then that is too heavily weighted towards us but of course we would take it.

Wellllll, he does. Barrett asks for clarification at the end and his words are "Hawthorn would give pick 3.... I'm confident on that"
Now whether he's confident because 'sources' have told him that exactly or confident his gut feel is they want him and would pay a lot to get him is another question

Fair. I couldn't get through the whole thing first time around, so missed that.
I was going off "Hawthorn would give pick 3, there's no doubt in my mind". So it's not "Hawthorn have offered pick 3" or similar...it's just that they "would". I still think it's garbage, AND I think Hawthorn would want more back from us than just Baz for #3.
