Not that I'm huge into betting but I do bet on the Brownlow every year.
I just checked Sportsbet and Bont is outright favourite at $2 now.
Which is significantly shorter odds than the $16 I got on him at the start of the year.

And as much as I want to see the Bont win the Brownlow, it will be somewhat a shallow victory if he only wins it because Daicos doesn't play the last 3 games. Although players miss games every year that decide outcomes so I think a can live with a Brownlow for Bont
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!

Bont is better than Daicos if he wins he deserves it

I reckon Daicos is a great player in a great team whereas Bont is a superstar in a good team.
I agree if Bont wins he thoroughly deserves it.

Good to see the injuries start mounting up and Collingwood. Daicos and Murphy out for extended periods.
More of an In Bruges guy?

Agree. Diacos a star no doubt, but Bont is the most influential player in the league.

Re: The League Injuries Thread
I went through the last 10 Brownlow Medalists. They are all in the top 4 for contested possessions.
Bont is currently #1 in the league.
Dacios is currently #40 in the league.
I'm not saying Daicos doesn't deserve it if he wins it. However, it will be a big shift from who normally wins the Brownlow. That is midfielders who can win their own ball and do something creative with it.
When was the last time a receiver won the Brownlow?

Contested possessions don't go back that far. But I do think he did get a lot handball receives but he was more than capable of winning his own baller Aker.
