    Re: The League Injuries Thread

Cooney wasn't finished because he broke his kneecap, it was because he tried to play through it. Curnow will be fine.

Besides Curnow was shooting some hoops in the off season, not playing a competitive match. Are all players banned from anything not strictly football related all year now? It's a shit injury but it's just bad luck.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

What he did was fine, I doubt the club will have an issue with it

Brendan Goddard coming out and clipping Joe Daniher for the way he has previously gone about his rehab. Joe has cited Essendon’s medical department as one of the reasons he wants to get the hell out of dodge.

I'm not a doctor, but maybe forcing Joe to play 2 games in 5 days when he was still in said rehab was not the most conducive thing to his recovery?

From reports he dislocated his kneecap, didn't break it like Cooney.

Having done the same injury myself I can confirm it hurts like hell but it isn't usually that serious. Stevie J dislocated a knee cap in the 2011 prelim and still managed to kick 4 goals in the grand final the next week.

Oh yeah man, I gotta PHD in that shit.

Actually there is a deli around the corner from my parents' house, run by Rocco, as it has since the 1960s.

Anyway I was in there a couple of years getting some salami when Rocco's wife pointed out a man waiting in the queue and said to me "see that man over there, he's a doctor the same as you" I was getting my change when I realisied that he was standing next to me so I told him that I wasn't really a doctor but I had known Mrs Rocco for 40 years+ and had gotten sick of reminding her that I wasn't actually a doctor and he said "That's OK, she's my mum! I have no idea why she thinks I am a doctor all of a sudden."

    Richmond had a great night:

Is Syndesmosis the new osteitis pubis? Seems like every ankle injury is a Syndesmosis much like everyone had osteitis pubis years ago
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!
