I wish Dale Morris all the best in his recovery. I hope this is not the last will see of him out there in the red white and blue.

    Daniel hamstrung again

Rebounding defender Caleb Daniel will miss this week’s important clash with Essendon, after sustaining a hamstring injury against the Brisbane Lions.

Daniel returned from a hamstring injury a fortnight ago, but unfortunately has sustained another injury to the same leg.

“Although he got through the game on the weekend, Caleb reported some hamstring tightness, with scans confirming that he has damaged his hamstring,” medical services manager Chris Bell said.

“We’re still to set out his exact time frame, and we’ll confirm this in the coming weeks.”

Hayden Crozier is a test to face the Bombers, despite injuring his ankle in the dying seconds against the Lions when landing from his JLT Mark of the Year contender.

Scans have revealed he has damaged a ligament in his ankle.

“We are working around the clock to prepare Hayden for this weekend’s game, but we’ll make a decision on his availability later in the week,” Bell said.

Fellow defender Taylor Duryea, who was withdrawn from the Bulldogs’ squad last week due to groin tightness, is also a chance to return.

Our medical team and fitness and conditioning team copped a bit of flak on WOOF last season, unnecessary to an extent. I think they deserve a big tick for their work this season. Bevo has on multiple occasions spoke very highly of them.

Agree. They have excelled this season.
Due to a bomber thrashing induced semi coma, I had the opportunity to Kayo the Clay open mike. That guy. Love.
No one was going to stop him from getting back on the field with part of a knee.

Bevo also praised the conditioning and medicos in the way they have worked with players this season, particularly Dunkley. The work that Dunkley, Bont and Crozier did in the USA came from a contact from the head of conditioning.

We are also now working on similar programmes.

Looks like Tom's knee is still an issue.

No other injury worries at this stage.

    Daniel's hammy!!! That's season over.

Is Dickson injured? Nothing in paper but 4 disposals in first quarter and none after that. 60% game time only.

Jeemak mentioned he could have tweaked hammy. Should know by end of day.

English to return, Jong to miss

Emerging ruckman Tim English will return to availability this weekend after missing Sunday’s clash against the Giants, due to illness.

Removed from the side on Sunday morning after falling ill the night prior, English returned to training on Tuesday morning and looks likely to head to Mars Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Similarly, Billy Gowers will be available for selection this weekend after being ruled out of the Footscray v North Melbourne VFL match on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, midfielder Lin Jong will be sidelined for the next two weeks after suffering a low-grade hamstring injury during training last week.

Jong will progress into training next week and is expected to return to availability the following week.

    Ryan Gardner knee 1-2 weeks
    Caleb Daniel hamstring 5-7 weeks

What's this knee indefinite shit re. Libba? What has he done to it I thought it was a bit if soreness? Looks like we can stick a fork in Daniel will have missed too much footy if we go deep.
Has Lin Jong played a game this year? Can't remember seeing him in the firsts.
