Western Bulldogs Players Out of Contract in 2019
Who do we let go, who stays and who needs to show more to keep them?

The danger one is Williams. Reported that the Crows are really into him, whatever that means.
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

Given Dickson is a restricted FA, that implies that he's in our top 25% earners for this season. Given his injury struggles over the past couple of seasons, he'd need to have a much improved and uninterrupted season for us to continue with that sort of contract.

That's very hard to believe. Roberts is also listed as restricted.
I doubt either is correct and I suspect that the categorisation is merely because they have 8 years and not 10 years service.

I thought we were close to signing up Hunter.

I thought I read that to. I suggest he won't be a hard one to get signed up

http://www.afl.com.au/afl-hq/the-afl...ed/free-agency
RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS
Players who are in the top 25 per cent of salaries at their club (that is, in the club’s top nine-10 paid players) are eligible for restricted free agency the first time they are out of contract, if they have served at least eight years with the club.
UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS
Players who are not in the top 25 per cent of salaries at their club (that is, in the club’s top nine-10 paid players) are eligible for unrestricted free agency if they have served at least eight years with the club.
So, if the table in the OP is correct, then they would be in the top 10 or so paid players, which does seem strange, I agree.

He seems a bit too sick to want to be in Adelaide so I wouldn't really worry. Plus the Crows kind of do that thing that the Bombers do where they think they're entitled to any and every player that is even remotely connected to them and communicate accordingly, so who really cares what they think.

There was certainly strong speculation in the media at the time of Marcus's re-signing that Lachie was apparently very close to signing one of those long term 5 year deals. Not sure what happened to it.

For mine the must keeps are Bailey Williams and Josh Dunkley. Followed by Lachie Hunter and hopefully Tom Liberatore.
Bailey Dale is somewhat at the cross roads. He has all the tools required to play 150 games and to kick 300+ goals except week in week out consistency. He needs to find that this year otherwise he could be out the door.
More of an In Bruges guy?

I have him pinned as a 150 game 150 goal type, two goals a game is pretty bloody amazing football for a high half forward or wing type. But, I agree with you that he is at the cross roads and does have the tools to get there.

Bailey Dale has been disappointing, only showing flashes of ability. He needs to step up and have a good year.

Agree. After a great latter part of 2017 he really didn’t do that much in 2018. Hoping he has a big 2019 now.
