My sentiments as well . Even after his Finals series exploits they were silent

The closest physical specimen to Tom in the league is probably Tom Hawkins who pretty much plays as a stay at home forward.
I would love to see Tom have an extended run in that role.
Mumford? Big blokes can still have big tanks.

Stevo on Twitter: Dogs confirm Tom Boyd handed $2 million back to club when agreement on retirement reached...
Wow. Maybe there’s even more big trade/s coming. Wow.

Didn't he say that in the MIke Sheahan interview.

I don’t think the amount was mentioned, just that he forfeited any payment.

Unless it was in another interview but he mentioned $1.9 million

Re: Blue Chip Investment - Tom Boyd
Walk away from/forfeit or literally hand back payments already made?
I knew he walked away from over $1.5m. Stevo stating he’s handed back another $2m. Or is Stevo a bit inelegant with his wording?

Inelegant. Although I think that was Garlick's wording too, I think it was clear from context that Boyd forfeited the remaining 2 million despite his contract enabling him to take it if he wanted. He didn't give back money already earned.

In his latest interview with Bob Murphy on the Freedom in a Cage podcast he considers himself set up for life financially. Well worth a listen it’s a comprehensive discussion

I owned a house, payed for by me, in West Footscray by the time I was 30. Paid off, mortgage free, 100% mine. It went in the divorce, sold for 250k 6 years after I payed 100k for it. Being the glutton for punishment that I am I keep up with the current value. The back yard got sold to put units in about 3 years ago for 785 k! And they kept the house already built on the front!
Then I got married. I hope Tom has taken into account the effect the inevitable divorce will have on being set up for life.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
