A tall defender who's calm, mobile and sure at ground level?

This is going to take some getting used to.

Here’s the tricky part - what pick? 27YO that’s played 30 games? 2nd rounder looks destined for Moorabbin....

This is outstanding news. To have the news that both Bruce and Keath want to be traded to us is huge. Shows that we can be a destination club. Sure both Bruce and Keath aren't superstars but they are obviously players that we were targeting and we have been able to attract. Let's hope the clubs manage to work out the required trades.

Also he saw first hand the young players at Ballarat, and the potential the club has.

    Re: Proactive Poaching

Who had us securing one of the best CHBs this year, and one best mobile CHFs for several years, 11 days before the trde period started?

I think we trade Pick 12 for Adelaide Pick 21 & Keath. Probably goes out to 13 for 24 fter compo.

    Then pick 24 for Bruce.

Then pick 84 or DFA spot for Zac Smith

One more trade with some of the $700,000 and pick that Jack Martin turned down. Pick 33.

    Picks: 44, 49, 52 (look to a points trade with Freo for a 2020 second for picks 44 & 49).

Small draft strategy. Two picks: 52 & 100 and upgrade La Young.

Shaping up nicely. Still room for a money ball trade/pick up, Elliott, Bonar etc, etc.

And we were working on these two guys, plus 5 X $700,000 on Jack Martin. We clearly have the cash to keep going hard.

Anyway to get both without giving up pick 12(13)

I wonder if the Keath news and expected Bruce news will cause a third domino to fall? Someone like Elliott (or another as yet unknown player) considering their options may think that we look pretty darn attractive right now.

Was thinking the same. If the choice is Elliott on a longer deal on slightly more coin or Tory next year, Elliott is an upgrade and a free agent. Say he wants $450,000, there's still change from Jack Martin not wanting $700,000 from us. Keep this momentum going Sam Power!

Be nice to pickup a small forward, or pacey outside mid.
