Are you sure we don't need an outside player who if fit immediately makes us a much better side? Not even at the right price, or a price heavily weighted in our favour?
Every team does, but we especially need outside runners of which he is one.
Nobody's looking for a puppeteer in today's wintry economic climate.

I would like an outside player, but a mid, not another Hawks back flanker.

Rumours are starting
The Dogs have expressed serious interest in Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti.They’ve tabled a deal to the Bomber at 650k a year. The deal Essendon have offered is at 500k a year. Dons confident they’ll hold onto their man but they’ll need to improve that offer. #AFLTrade

Not sure. They knocked that rumour off from BF.

Having said that, do you think he is worth $650k?

I'm down. I think his reputation as "only good when the team wins" is a bit out of whack because when they win he's typically the reason why. He's a genuine matchwinner and totally unlike anything else we have now.

Re: Proactive Poaching
One thing we Dogs fans seem to forget - it's lots of fun thinking about which players of other clubs (either out of contract or in contract) we should target and prise out (and I assume our club is hard at work at this).
But other clubs are doing this too - so which Dogs players may be targets of other clubs?

Re: Proactive Poaching
Rumours are also swirling about a Kangaroos bloke that used to model merchandise for the Bulldogs shop. Apparently only has 1 year to run and wants more, considering he is 32 and is still playing close to career best footy.
Would we consider taking a bloke that is fun to have around to be able to compare head sizes with Brett Megahead Ebert* (if fate again has him cross our path)?
*Note: head comparison actually happened when Port and the Dogs crossed paths in a hotel years ago.

It's not like he is lumbering I suspect it's the age consideration for BAD who would probably want a player with at least a 4 year playing horizon.

One of my mates has just become a dad for the first time. The first question you ask when you have kids of your own is "Head circumference?" My mate said "Is that really a thing, I thought they were kidding me when they measured that."
I'd hate to have been the mum who pumped out either Ebert or Higgins.
Have you been reading those Roddy Doyle books again, Dougal!?
I have, yeah Ted, you big gobshite

He is playing as a KPD at Freo, and is in career best form. He's certainly an upgrade on Cordy right now.

Very funny GVGjr.
You are right I don't like the age profile, but in Smith's case (despite his age ), I feel we already have similar players in Suckling, Duryea, JJ, and Richards is heading that way. I would rather we put time into a Richards to be a speedy wingman.
Pass for me.

What if he costs close to nothing at the trade table?
We've rotated Hayes, Williams and Roarke Smith through the wing and Isaac is an enormous upgrade on all three. We need to get older.
If it was a two year deal for a late pick I say yes. Any more and I'd start to waver. I'd like Richards to develop on a wing but I'm having my doubts in the short term.
