    Re: Proactive Poaching

Have seen a few rumours floating around (and there is apparently a reddit thread) that Jack Petruccelle is keen to get back to Melbourne and even some suggestions that we are in the mix.

Has some serious wheels, but I haven’t seen a heck of a lot of him. Would he suit us?

    YES !
Exactly what we would want , speed, ball magnet.
Throw him on a wing and watch him go.

He's certainly quick but he's not a ball magnet. Has potential but does not get anywhere near enough of the ball - he will need to learn to win his own ball if he is to continue improving as a player.

If he is the outside reciever he would flourished if used properly and looked for.

St Kilda aren't paying anyone else though. They have as much cap space as we do (at least, they do until Hill & Tomlinson sign on).

Two red flags for me despite his pace:
    - He can't pick the ball up at speed
    - He can't kick at speed

    I'm wary.

    Sounds like Justin Sherman.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Was it a Bulldogs ex-coach who said of Sherman "he has speed, unfortunately he uses it to run into the opposition"?

Haha sounds accurate. Bob Murphy told me during the preseason we recruited him that he was a cement head and it wasn't because of his toughness.

Murphy didn't like the trade at all.

Sherman was one of the worst trade decisions in our history. And that is SAYING SOMETHING!

Not too long afterwards Sherman racially abused Wilkinson from the Suns.

Canil thinks something might be brewing with Dicko re. a trade rather than retirement or keeping him on.

    That's interesting.

The saints have been connected to everyone in the comp so far, so let's throw that connection in.

    Canil?

Tory is a free agent, if he plays elsewhere next year there won't be a trade.
