    Re: Proactive Poaching

Serious question. When was the last time we were really put to the torch by a monster forward? Darling got a bag earlier in the season but he's not what you would call a monster, we could have had Lurch on him that day and he would have found space to run into.

    Kennedy?
Have you been reading those Roddy Doyle books again, Dougal!?

I think he's playing with Northern Blues (Carlton's feeder team) in the VFL.

Correct, but he's only played 1 game this season so I assume he's been injured.

Poor kid just can't get a decent run with injuries.

Correct, many haven't learned anything from the success story that is Caleb Daniel

A couple of cm's for a KPP means very little.

Someone like Tomlinson can rebound off bigger opponents and make them work hard to defend him

In your eyes, where does he play right now, and who goes out?

We only had Cordy in as our only tall defender that day, with raw Lachie Young in as support.

In game two we had Trengove in who beat him.

MC could have played Trengove and chose not to. We gambled on a smaller fast line-up and got burned

With Naughton forward I think he would be our best player over 186cm in the backline and I think he would compliment Cordy and Trengove very well.

I'm genuinely surprised that anyone else other than your good self would be writing him off because 194cm isn't tall enough
He's a good mover and versatile and can play on taller or smaller opponents. He seems like a good fit for us
    Perhaps we will do better

I have no issue with him based on height. I’ll take him if he’s good enough.

Obviously you didn't read my post.

    Here it is.

Is he what we need? Who does he replace in today's team? These are all questions going through my mind.

As far as I am concerned, I would like in no particular order, another KPP backman, who can play the gorillas and is not punching out of his weight division, a small goal sneak to compliment Lloyd (ala Betts type), and an outside genuine speedy mid.
You still haven't said who goes out of the team, right now, if he was an in.
