The way we're finishing the year and, as you said, the performances of Lloyd, Crozier and Dureya should put us in better position to sell ourselves to both established players seeking success as well as players wanting a change of scenery/role or opportunity.

Who could be the next Lloyd, Crozier and Dureya target for us? ie fringe quality, not Tippa, Gray, Martin etc
The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

I move back and forth on him, a lot, but maybe Sam Day. Free agent, so money and the list spot. 197cm, 100kg. Playing forward, arguably played his best footy back. Can take a run in the ruck. A bit like Trengove.
I want two KPDs this year. Ideally Tomlinson and ????. Cut Roberts, perhaps retire Morris. Play Cordy as a third tall. If we couldn't do better for a gorilla able defender, a multi purpose free agent on not a lot of coin could be a handy acquisition.

Harry Himmelberg? I don't know if he's as good as I think he is or I just really, really like his name.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

I'm very keen on Day but the latest rumours are that he signs an extension at the Suns.
We have more cap space than they do - they actually had a cap squeeze at the end of last year!

As an uneducated guess - Dan Butler.
Fringe in a side that has multiple small forward options, we need a small forward, I say a third rounder would be enough and we've got three of them.
Has real pace IIRC.

Can Tomlinson play as a key defender? I see him more as a third tall.
More of an In Bruges guy?

That's not unreasonable for an AFL standard KPP. Trengove is on $400-425k, although he can ruck too.
We have cap space and Day is an RFA so keeping our picks is a bonus. Latest unsubstantiated rumours are he stays at the Suns.

Same height as Cordy. Probably a stretch playing on the real bigs.

Where is Rory Thompson at? I assume he's been out injured this season.
Good size. 100 games under his belt.

That rules out Tomlinson for me.

In terms of big key back - then perhaps yes. But Tomlinson has a few strings to his bow. One of which being a huge capacity to run, and an ability to play many positions (which we know that Bevo loves). The problem for me is more that he might cost a bit to get out of GWS and whether the cost is too high to get a decent footballer, but one without a really defined role of where he'd play.
