Quick, lock him up with another extension.
I'd actually have no problems with having Roberts on the list for another season. A premiership FB as an insurance policy in case we have some injuries isn't a bad thing.

Let's get him just to piss Dodo off. Offer something and then withdraw it after the player agrees to come.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

It's a reasonable suggestion but now highly unlikely

He has just re-signed with Carlton for next year.

Re: Proactive Poaching
Astbury also re-signed at the Tigers for anyone that was keen.

He's stronger - at 102kgs and 198cm he could play a Trengove role if need be. Fletch is too light.

Mitch Cleary has us being into McDonald-Tipungwuti. Can't say I saw that coming but I'm down.

It was mentioned a couple of months back but it didn't seem to have a source beyond 'the Bulldogs should look at him'.
Unsubstantiated rumour that he doesn't get along with Stringer. We could use a quality finisher in the F50.

Indulging for a second - he's not a free agent so we'd have to trade for him. They will obviously ask for JJ because they still think it's unfair we have a player they want, and we will obviously say no. They will ask for our first and we will say no again.
What gets it done? He seems like another player that we lack commensurate assets for and would have to overpay, before even considering that we'd be dealing with Dodo.

Get into the players ear. If you want to play in a premiership then make the break and we will look after you. Essendon can't offer you that, they say they will but honestly how much closer to a premiership are they now than they were 5 years ago?
