Re: Proactive Poaching
Sold on the other two but see no reason why we should target Greenwood.

Agreed. I doubt we would be interested whilst there are plenty of other clubs that will chase him, headed by the hawks.

Re: Proactive Poaching
Wonder if Ryder could come in for two years and help out English as well as help set up and recruit for our Indigenous program.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

GWS rumoured to be interested if Mumford doesn't go around again.
I can't see Bevo being keen on Ryder.

He excels as that marking tallish in the F50, very good overhead.
If we miss out on others I'd like him. GCS rumoured to have a huge offer for him as he may prefer to play more midfield minutes. In that role he's not pushing the Crouch brothers out.

The Crouch brothers could end up being a monkey on Adelaide's back. Both of them excel at the same style of play where they need some outside wheels, not unlike us.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Bet they are. This is going to be one of those stupid Essendon tantrums where it’s unfair we drafted him because they wanted him right?

Good luck to them.

Going to need a good offer. We’re not going to ‘Stringer’ this one

I’m not on BF, but on further inspection it seems that was probably the source.
Would still feel more comfortable with a contract extension signed.

I'd say every team would be interested but getting him is actually a very different story
I'd be very confident that he will sign an extension with us

Agree.
I wonder whether we're trying to work with his management on a long term deal, not just a typical 1 or 2 year extension. Normally the shorter extensions for 1st year players are quick to get done. I reckon we've seen enough of Bailey to be trying to find a way to lock him up longer term, hence why its taking some time. Maybe not to be resolved til we see where we stand post trade period cap-wise.

Did anyone see anything about ‘Hawthorn to offer Tom Boyd like deal to Smith’ anywhere?
