Re: WB Game Day V Richmond R7 2019
At the final siren against Freo I texted my son and said: we will beat Richmond next week. You heard it here first!!
The last few weeks have been hard. Yet apart from the Carlton abomination, we’ve been gallant, with something just not clicking. Usually that something was our goal or should I say point kicking, which just sapped every ounce of energy.
I’m proud that the team didn’t just shrug their collective shoulders and see another year slip away. I love that Bont and Wood stepped up, that JJ regained the run, that a kid called Naughton had me out of my seat expecting me to mark everything that came near him. I didn’t think our situation was as bad as so many were saying, hence my optimistic (slightly deluded) text. Finally, we got reward for all that toil, and I’m proud and thrilled. Now to watch the Aaron Naughton show all over again....

Wow that's amazing hadn't heard that story thanks. My first season was 81 as a 5 year old. Geoff Jennings, Michael Egan era

Fantastic night at the footy. Recorded the post game show. Cold beer on the couch and revelling in our win. Life’s good!

There are some seriously good footballers on that list, that underlines just how special Naughton's game was

Just a pleasure to watch Naughton tonight. In rare territory. In my time there has only been a few players that you just had that much confidence that they would clunk it when it went anywhere near them. Carey. Sticks at his peak. Lowe in full flight.

I’ll be back at the footy for our next Marvel home game in Round 10. Will hopefully enjoy watching some good wins on the TV in Ballarat and Geelong the next 2 weeks. Would certainly go to the Whitten Oval if we started to play a game or two there in the future.

Re: WB Game Day V Richmond R7 2019
That was a good night at the footy. I was concerned that wayward goal kicking would hurt us again but Richmond wee wasteful as well and between Naughton and the Bont, we did the damage on the scoreboard.
Trengove in has been very valuable. Freed up Cordy and Wood a fair bit and the whole back six benefited from his game.
I could tell in the first minute of the game we were up for it. Huge turn around from the CFC game. English, Dunkley, Daniel, Naughton, Bont were excellent.

Didn't watch it. Just got home and now have a big smile. How did Trengrove do?

Has anyone noticed that the last couple of home games our cheer squad area isn't anywhere near full?

Nick Riewoldt tormented us for years. Now we have a similar player to torment other defenses.
