The lowest since 1967 (78.8)

To me it is not a big deal. Defense is so much stronger these days, with tackling at an all time high compared to back in the 60s.

Agree but the "mud heaps" that players played on in the 60's made it hard for high scores.

We will need to score well into the 100s each game then, just to lift the leagues average.
