Re: WB Game Day V Geelong R16 2019
As poor as our first half as been, we are still in it.
Bevo now has 20 minutes to work his magic on the boys.

I think I've shown my bonafides over the years as a glass half empty kibda guy; and I'm frustrated too by our poor skills thus far tonight.
However, we're 9 points down against a Geelong side that has also but hered their dominance. Sound familiar?
Given their season thus far, its likely they'll course correct, but we're right in this at current state of play if we can fix some things at half time.
They're one down, and we've just got to find a way to prise this from their grip.
We need to get more from the source, and bloody take our chances.

We're actually doing well statistically. It's, a missed moment in the chain that is hurting us. We tighten that up and things can turn our way.

That's the killer right now. Geelong have on several occasions presented themselves to be punished, and we've just flubbed our lines.
The fact we're sorely missing Caleb, tells the story. We need more players who have the ability to execute the right kick at the right moment.

He may as well have tried to head that through the goals.

Seriously, Bont isn’t nearly good enough in front of goal. He gets away with murder. Just poor.

Redeemed himself in that last passage. Cannot believe we are two kicks from the front despite this slap-dash display.

Bont isn’t a really great player, just a really good one who can’t be relied upon to kick goals when needed.

He's a great player who would be in the best 2-3 players in the comp if he kicked the goals he should.... but he's comfortably inside the top 10.
