Re: WB Game Day V Geelong R16 2019

This is a reset game for our club. We have the home deck, good form and the cats will be quietly comfortable. I believe this will be seen as a Bevo master stroke with drooped McClean and him coming back burning it up and set up a finals run home off the back of it.

    Dogs by 19 points.
1st Goal. Naughton courtesy of a free from HT
BOG McClean. He will stand along side Danger and but him to the sword
    BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

I have my doubts we can win this but it's certainly not without a strong chance.
    Lets be bold

I can feel a day coming up for the boys!

Dogs by 42 (maybe 48, the vision in my crystal ball is a bit blurry-it could even be 84. Or 82, anyway us, the bulldogs will win by at least 7 goals)

First Goal will be kicked by Josh Schache who will kick a few.

BOG will be Marcus Bontempelli who will find Josh Schache on the lead fairly often.
Have you been reading those Roddy Doyle books again, Dougal!?

I'm sure there's been more but that's all I can re-call.
The first was last home-and-home game in 1961 when we had to win to get into the four. Ted Whitten was magnificent that day and kicked two 80 yard drop kick goals from the EJ Smith wing to the Barkly St end. The crowd was huge; the excitement immense.
I remember the Pieman booting 12 in a great performance in the 80s and I was at Kardinia Park in the 80s when Lally Bamblett kicked a marvellous running goal and we won comfortably.
The 4th was at Doglands a few years ago. It was very close. Gia dropped a garden variety chest mark near the wing, they got it and booted it inside 50 but Brian Lake saved the day (again) with yet another timely mark - this time DEEP in time on this paying homage to the true meaning of "timely".
And of course the most recent one was the 18 players plus orange boy on the mark v Harry Taylor who kicked it like a bloke who'd played 300 games in defence. Good one H.
Yes Merantau they have caused us a world of pain over the years.
    Fantastic recollections.

Payback time and it begins tonight.

Just hoping Geelong don’t kick goals from every orifice while we miss easy ones.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

No chance tonight. I hope I'm wrong but it'll be around 30 - 40 points in deficit when the final siren goes.
