The Moment: Rnd 24, 2023 vs Geelong

The moment, the best, most courageous moment that caught your eye in tonight's game against Geelong. Was it the moment that told you 'we've got this' or 'we lost this one right here'? Or was it the moment that you went 'wow....that is crazy courage'

Or was it a collection of moments that you thought 'oh dear that's sure to produce a flood of WOOF melts on par with GG's post GF loss..

Lobb into the ruck and you can’t change my mind.

It just really was so visibly a successful tactical move.

Imagine it went to shit at the same rate it has every other time it's been tried this year.

Are you referencing the move of Lobb to the ruck? If so I would think tonight was the 1st time this season that Rory has started the qtr as the 1st choice ruck, which he did at the start of the 3rd. There was a clear shift away from English.

Lobb into the ruck was one thing but it's enhanced just a bit by the way English also performed up forward.

Since his brief spell at Footscray we've started to see the type of football from him that we hoped we would when he arrived.
His marking has returned and it's also resulted in some more scoreboard impact. I'm very optimistic now of what he might be able to do for us next season.

Adam Treloar’s goal immediately after half time. It was a tough kick and it was the first glimmer of life.

I really like English up forward. He really attacks the ball aggressively in the air.

Thursday night. When Geelong selected their side. Had we any confidence from the start we should have pantsed a depleted side with 2 debutants and 2 retirees that didn't look serious at times

Starting the third quarter with Lobb in the ruck.

Being biased - Lobb and West into the centre
For two reasons: 1. broke the pattern of only rotating the same people through there, and 2. finally giving West a chance to build experience in there

They were still in front at 3 quarter time after we let a goal in on the siren.

I think the moment was when Lobb marked and kicked his 3rd - there was no coming back

I think VDM's goal in the 3rd really gave both the supporters of the Dogs some belief and inserted some doubt in the Cats supporters.

    Great match for telling moments.
