Re: AFL Game Day R23 2019

Maybe Melbourne went in with the same attitude into 2019 as we did into 2017.

After they made the pre Lim against WC last year, they looked at their list and realised another key defender was a must, so went and got May. They might of thought that’s all they needed to be a force again, but got a rude awakening instead.

Teams worked them out, their stars became lazy, the game plan fell apart, and they lost Hogan who took the best defender, meaning that McDonald now had the best defender.
I will never see #16 the same!!

All good points, they have shaken up the coaching ranks which we seem to have resisted so I wonder if that will be enough

Just got home from Swans vs Saints @ the SCG.

Saints had a good second quarter and defended well, then things fell away and they gave up in the last.

How did we lose to that rabble?

Swans did a good job farewelling Jack, McVeigh, Smith and Grundy.

Went to the footy today with a Swans fan.

He's a good bloke, but he's still complaining about "unfair" umpiring in the 2016 GF.

True. The overturned goal of JJ's was disgusting.

Hawks starting well, Eagles haven't looked like scoring.

Thanks. Can you say GWS are going to beat GCS?

Doesnt really matter what the Hawks do, we have to win to make finals anyway.

    Its in our hands.

Re: AFL Game Day R23 2019

Emphasises how important that last 16 minutes vs Hawthorn in round two was. Looks like it could now be the difference between whether Hawks or us make the top eight. Right now you swap those four points around, they're in finals and we are playing a dead rubber tomorrow. Thank god for that inspired 8 goal run in 16 minutes.
