I can't believe the blocks, pushes, holding and arm chops on Schache for no frees. Umpires giving him the Tom Boyd Treatment.

Not sure that fully offsets his incessant calling of phantom Bombre frees the umpire miraculously missed.

Or you know, the sound of his voice.

I’m still beaming from last night. Unbelievable game for us. Having a beer in the pub now.

How good will Naughton be as a forward when he actually spends the preseason training with the other forwards?
It was very much a last minute decision to play him forward and it's paid huge dividends

I’m still not 100% on board the “Naughton is a forward” train but I’m looking forward to seeing how much further he can improve.

Do you think he's a better defender? The more he plays forward at the moment the more I'm starting to believe he's got the potential to be an elite marking forward

He is looking more like a CHF, roaming up the wing, HFF, leaving Schache as the FF.

Your not concerned with his field kicking out of defence?

At this stage he's a better defender, but given we haven't seen him at the role it's hard to know where he would be at with another full year down back. However his forward craft is developing and with a full pre-season training in the role it's not a stretch to think he will kick 40+ goals next year which would be a great return.

I’m more concerned with his set shots than his defensive field kicking. Even the most basic shots are a lotto.

Fair call. As the season has progressed his goal kicking has got worse.
