Re: Three things you have learned-round 21 v Essendon 2019

    1. The Bulldogs are back. Memories of 2015 came flooding back last night of when we we thumping everyone at Etihad. The handball club is reborn!

    2. Bailey Smith is a special player. There is a reason that he gets targeted by the opposition so often. He's good, really good. I don't think I've seen a first year player get into so many scuffles as him. When he starts to break the lines and use his wonderful foot skills more....wow!

    3. We showed up Essendon for what they really are. Yes they have injuries but they lack hardness and the are full of downhill skiers. They don't have any inside mids at all. I love that Dylan Shiel chose them. What an unintelligent decision!!!
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works every time!

    1. We can belt the living suitcases out of teams. The Freo game gave us a taste, but last night was just something else.

    2. Pantsing teams is fun, who knew?

    3. I suspect that AFL related Simpsons Quotes on Facebook has a content producer who is at the very least sympathetic to the Bulldogs, if not an actual supporter. Their content last night was top notch, and they also really stepped it up during our 2016 finals campaign.
Wake me up when we get to heaven, let me sleep if we're going to hell

Good luck, for your sake I hope heaven and hell are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath

And we all found heaven - 2016 Premiers!

    1. Dunks set the tone again with huge first quarter.

    2. Loved Sucker's game down back. It is where he plays his best footy.

    3. Hayesy after a couple of fumbles played his best match for us. His kicking improved and I am sure his confidence would have too.

    1. Nice to have two big blokes in the forward line and giving opportunities to the smaller players.

    2. I still maintain we have the best midfield in the comp

    3. Suckling must stay in the backline.

    1. If bomber supporters wish to watch grim, harrowing images why don't they just stay at home and watch sbs scandinavian noir?

    2. Rapt to see Haysie, Schack and Zaine have a good night out.

    3. Enjoyed the renditions of Sha na na and Who let the dogs out being sung on the wing during the second half.

    1. Our backline has functioned better this year when Daniel has been out injured. We move the ball so much quicker.

    2. Bailey Dale looks like he belongs

    3. Will Hayes - I thought you were just a good seconds player. Happy for you to prove me wrong.

    1. If this is what we are doing now, imagine what we’re doing when all our young guys mature a bit more.
    2. Hayes showed he can play AFL
    3. We took Essington by the throat and never let go.

I remember another Woofer stating that we go longer, more direct and quicker when he is out of the side. My thoughts pricked up and I’ve paid attention since then. I would have to agree and I do think we play better when he is not in the back 6. I would like to see him high forward or wing as he would be a huge assist hitting up forward leads.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

Duryea, Suckling and Crozier are beautiful long kicks.

I would play him on the wing and a spell as a roaming forward as he has the smarts. In the backline he runs around in circles and does those piddly little kicks which stop our run.
