So very happy with this outcome. No doubt others came for him, but I love he’s backed himself in to be in our best defence. I think with a hopeful injury free preseason he’s like a gun new recruit next year.
I doubted it would come, but so very, very happy it did.

Re: Player Contract Status
Power done the retaining aspect of List Management, been very busy the last couple of months. Now the trading and delisting:
Mitch Wallis (Free Agent)
Pat Lipinski (Trade)
Lewis Young (Trade)
Stef Martin (Retired?)
Roarke Smith (Rookie, likely stay)
Buku Khamis (Rookie, likely stay 4th Year)
Jordan Sweet (Rookie, 50/50, maybe stay 4th Year)
Will Hayes (Rookie, Delist)
Ben Cavarra (Rookie, Delist)

Got the deals done for the guys we should be keeping and I think it's odds on that these 3 will pursue opportunities elsewhere.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Only 4 primary list players (not counting Jong) uncontracted prior to the last round must be some sort of record.

I reckon. He said in the Road To The Draft podcast he’s spending more time this year at live games. Plus all the contracts he’s been signing for this and next year. Presumably time into trade targets and player managers too. Maybe Sam Power doesn’t sleep?

Appreciate that its moot now he has re-signed, but why would you gift a player a finals spot when you could give that to another equally capable player who is invested in the cause. Even if the skills gap is wide I would want 100% commitment to the cause.

Do you think Richards have the tools to make it as a wingman?
More of an In Bruges guy?

Did we fill the Sam Lloyd list spot? Didn't he retire after lists were lodged?
