Edit actually that joke didn't work.

    He's eligible in 2024 I believe. (restricted) 2026 full.

So maybe he signs until 2026? (3 yr deal).
Yeah he will be eligible at the end of 2023 (8 years service).

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we lock him away on a long term (5 years?) deal.

With Libba towards the end I think it's important Dunks stays.
So we finish up Libba at the end of this year then because we can't continue on as is? Especially when we will have to shell out extra $$$ to re-sign all of our out of contract players (which include 5 of our best 10) who will want (I assume) to get paid market rates for players of their quality.

Well that isn't happening as Liberatore is contracted until end of 2023.

I'm not sold on Dunkley replacing Liberatore - Why hasn't Dunkley already taken his place?

It has been discussed a lot on this board over the past 12-18 months about Liberatore longevity and how he is supposedly struggling with his body but he still our best contested ball winner.

    I would think he'd be on $450-500k.

He's still playing well, but could others not fill that spot and do a good job?... and the money free'd up allows to bring in a player in a required spot.

Not saying it needs to be Libba, but the structure of list needs refining.

Agree we certainly need to balance things up.

Yeah but I stuffed it up by going with free agency in the build up.

I should leave it to the experts.

As true as this statement is, it makes it all the more galling that our greatest area of strength absolutely cost us a premiership when the whips were cracking in the GF. It wasn't Roarke/Gardner/Schache/Hannan or any of our low profile role players.

Much as I've tried to shy away from it, this still gives me nightmares.

How did we pack it in after being 19 points up, halfway through the third QTR of a GF? Rhetorical question because we know how, but that performance (or lack of) is career defining for some.

We seriously escaped criticism for that and seemed to cushion ourselves with excuses. It was unacceptable.

Has there ever been a bigger qtr and a half slaughter in any game?

    Yes and yes.

I'm still staggered that we haven't reviewed the game or at least the 2nd half or even adjusted the team on field.

We have adjusted the centre bounce clearances where we were beaten, we are now top 5
