Maybe because of his off field issue this year they might have only offered 2 years considering Dale and Daniel got double that.

It's normal to stick to shorter term deals until you're ready for the big payday and a 5+year contract.
He's also not in the same bargaining position he was before the 1st Geelong game.

No chance the 2 years was from the club's end, we would have signed up him up for 5 years if he was willing.

2 years is exactly what I expected. He will rightfully be backing himself to be worthy of a mega deal in 2 years time.
And being a determined young lad I’m confident he’d want to improve his kicking accuracy and tackle effectiveness which have been down since his recall after suspension.
