    Reid, yes.

Cameron? He's left a very sour taste over the last couple of years.

Agreed. Cameron is well and truly one of them.

Same here. He's spent a lot of years at our club.

    Re: 2019 AFL Finals Series

Comments on Leon Cameron are very very harsh, in my opinion. In summary:

He came to us as a kid. An exciting talent - which was important at the time as he and Chris Grant embodied the spirit and renewal of our club at the time immediately post Fightback. He played damn good footy for us and was a pleasure to watch for many years. He was a fan favourite and was popular amongst teammates. Terry Wallace made a surprising decision to trade him off to Richmond. It was widely considered a disappointing one by fans. It was also generally accepted that Cameron had not wanted to leave.

Cameron then came back to us as an assistant coach under Rodney Eade before moving to Hawthorn as an assistant. When Eade’s time came to an end, Cameron was favoured to get the Dogs, coaching job. Surprisingly, the selection committee went for Brendan McCartney - leaving a disappointed Cameron to go to GWS.

Despite all of that, when the Dogs surprisingly defeated the Cameron-coached, premiership favourite, GWS, in the 2016 Prelim, Leon was completely dignified and magnanimous. I thought he spoke brilliantly after that game - despite the result doing his career no good at all (as the “Ferrari driver.”)

Three years on, with many in the media calling for Leon’s head, he leads his club into the finals and cultivates a hard, ruthless commitment and attitude from his players.

I say good luck to him. I’ll be chuffed for him if he wins today.

Thanks for the outstanding contribution Webby. It just reinforces that we should be looking at the bigger picture

    Well said Webby.

Cameron was a rolls royce for us. Hard for some to see the big picture.

I've got nothing against Leon and he was one of my favourites when wearing the colours. In fact I hold no ill will against any of our former players I either still admire them or they don't enter my thoughts one way or another.

But I can't stand GWS and on that I hope the Tigers flog them.

Sam Reid's story is a brilliant and underrated one - it is the only tiny saving grace to the unpalatable thought of a dirty GWS victory.

It also means the no 50 will be saluting today either way. When was the last time a premiership player wore such a high number?

Absolutely. I really liked what I saw of him when he was with us but just had horrible luck. Felt real bad for him when he popped his shoulder twice in a final (I think) Memory is no good nowdays.

No problem with him wrapping his arms around a player who just eye gouged one of our own and defending his actions? Leon was a club great but he's chosen his side. That's the bed he wants to lay down in down in so he gets to wear the fleas as well. The moment he defended that little grub in the over the top manner then he was dead to me too.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
